What does StrataFlash stand for? Quite simply, multi-level. Because the voltage across each cell is divided into four levels, any of the possible combinations of two bits is enabled: 00, 01, 10 or 11. The StrataFlash technology evolved out of Intel Corporation’s ETOX flash memory products in 1997.
Today, the StrataFlash brand of NOR memory products is featured in the Numonyx portfolio of flash memory solutions.
