The System General T7000-N is Your Standard Platform for Programming Numonyx Embedded Flash Memories

The T7000-N from System General is a programming solution designed exclusively to support Numonyx embedded flash memory devices. It utilizes the same enhanced hardware as that of the System General T7000 Universal Programmer, but is offered at a discount for Numonyx customers. System General will stock ample supply of base units and socket adapters for immediate delivery.

Outfitted with 2 gigabits of RAM, the T7000-N programming system is equipped to support high-density devices. Its USB interface enables high-speed communication and file downloading. The user-friendly software for Windows* 98/2000/XP makes programming easy and includes a graphical display for real-time statistics.

Each T7000-N must pass System General’s stringent quality-assurance and burn-in tests prior to being shipped. To ensure software reliability, each algorithm is fully tested with high margins in System General’s laboratories. System General’s liaison with the Numonyx programmer enablement team ensures up-to-date support, free of issues.

"Numonyx works diligently to enable its entire ecosystem and System General's equipment is a big piece of that. Our relationship with them and their support has been nothing short of stellar; the T7000-N will be an excellent tool for our customers," according to Glen Hawk, vice president and general manager of the Embedded Business Group at Numonyx.

The single-site T7000-N programmer can be used in customer engineering laboratories, but it is easily upgraded to a complete production tool by attaching additional systems. This allows customers to purchase for their current requirements and budget, and expand the system later if the need arises.

The robust hardware and production-tailored software were designed for the rigor of production applications. Up to twenty T7000-N sites may be connected together to program the highest-density multi-chip stacks, devices which may have extremely long programming times. Alternatively, a multi-site setup can be split into several small systems when the job changes.

The T7000-N’s production-oriented software allows customers to program the first-article and save all of its programming parameters under a “task” file. After the first-article is verified in the target system the same task can be recalled to evoke those exact programming parameters for mass production; this eliminates the risk of operator errors.

Although the T7000-N system only supports hand-inserted operations, System General also provides some of the industry’s best solutions for production programming applications. Its automated programming handlers come with universal device support for memory, microcontroller and logic technologies. These systems are a top choice of programming centers and EMS manufacturers worldwide, for high-volume usage 24x7.
