Wow, what a fantastic month! First off, I’d like to thank everyone for your warm reception of our new company, Numonyx. Starting a venture of this size and scale is never simple, and I’d like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding during these past few months. But through meticulous planning, the hard work of our employees and close cooperation with our customers and suppliers, we’ve managed a virtually flawless startup. Moving forward, you should expect nothing less.  

Over the course of the last month, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world to meet with employees at our major Numonyx sites. The excitement and energy of these employees is exhilarating, with the talent and dedication of over 7,400 people focused on delighting our customers. I’m thrilled and proud to be leading this new venture.

Some skeptics might have expected us to struggle with the transition and change. They’re going to be disappointed. We’re maintaining a laser-sharp focus on performance while quickly executing on our new plans. We’re exceeding our own high expectations – in fact, we’ve already achieved a major milestone, well ahead of schedule. We’ve managed to enable production testing of products that were originally tested only on different equipment in factories previously owned by the other parent. This “cross processing” milestone is just one example of what can happen when the innovation and dedication of our employees is combined with the focus and energy of a start-up.   

I’m also hearing some great feedback from our customers, analysts and members of the press. They recognize that our ability to have a full suite of technologies, the broadest range of solutions, innovative technology and a dedicated focus gives us a distinct and clear advantage in the marketplace. It’s gratifying to see that people believe we’re on the right track. At the same time, we’re actively working on ways we can improve, and deliver even better solutions and services in the near future.
