Numonyx™ M28W series of Flash Memories offers a wide range of densities from 16 to 64Mbit, with access times from 70ns to 100ns. This is an ideal solution for both Code and Parameter Storage in consumer and mobile communications applications.

Devices in the M28W family can be erased electrically at block level and programmed in-system on a Word-by-Word basis. These operations can be performed using a single low voltage (2.7V to 3.6V) supply.

The memories use the Common Flash Interface (CFI) that allows the system to easily recognize and adapt to the Flash Memory, to identify its features and characteristics and enable software upgrade itself when required. Moreover, CFI provides the major benefits of simple upgrade capability and wide second-source availability.

Each block can sustain over 100,000 program/erase cycles, with 20 years data retention. Thanks to advanced technologies, the M28W product family package options include TSOP, TFBGA and TBGA.
